Overnight from Grasmere - Video

Spotting a short break in the recent wet/windy weather I headed over to the Lake District for a quick overnighter from Grasmere.

It was a good couple of days, no major mileage, no real set plan other than to get out for a bit of a wander and a camp.

In total I walked around 45km taking a few new Wainwrights along the way. Photo's to follow.

  1. Another great video Matt, you certainly set a high standard. You bagged quite a few tops by the looks.

    1. Thanks Jim :-) The GoPro is usually attached to my trekking pole during the day then once at camp I use either a mini GorillaPod or Velbon V-Pod Tripod

  3. A fair few fells bagged there Matt! Another great video too. I'm guessing 3 sets of Go-Pro batteries ;-)

    1. Thanks Steve :-) a good little wander, and yep, 3 batteries this time. If the weather is ok and I get a bit of a sunrise/sunset I find 1.5/day is the usual battery consumption. They do charge from my phone charger though so I don't have to carry loads
